Shoes on a Shoestring #3 Monochrome Strappy Heels

Hello! It's been a while since I did a shoes on a shoestring post, you can find the last one here! Today I've got a slightly more summery offering, and a version of the shoe of the moment, it's everyone's favourite, the ankle strap heel. On the high street it all started with Zara I think, with their plain black version and there have been many variations since. The trend has finally filtered on down into Primark, which is where I found these!

Black and white ankle strap heel £12 Primark
For me, these shoes look so elegant and expensive with every variation I see, whether they're shade, imitation leather, double strap, single, nude, tan... They're so classic, I absolutely love them! This pair are no exception, and I think they capture this summer's monochrome trend perfectly. They go with pretty much anything, skirts, dresses, shorts, pants... And I think they look über stylish and soooo chic.

I actually wore these to Matt's graduation! Hence the picture, I didn't get one on my own so you'll have to put up with one of us together haha! Sorry! I think they're just so appropriate for so many different occasions, smart, formal, going to lunch or out to dinner, going on a night out, to a bar, to a meeting, to a special occasion. They're just so versatile and can be styled so many different ways for so many different occasions! I love them! What a great buy, at only £12 for a pair of all-rounders!

What do you think of this take on the ankle strap heel?

Shop Dixi Jewellery Haul

Hello!! So, absolutely ages ago, I saw a haul done by ilestbecca on youtube (please come back soon!!) and she had loads of things from this website called shop Dixi, I loved everything she had and went and liked them on facebook, they're always updating on my feed with new products and offers, so seeing some of these offers I decided to make an order the other week, Here's what I got!

Maya stone cross necklace in 05 £2 (sale)

set of 2 textured band above knuckle rings £3
individual Mimi stacking ring in silver colour 50p (sale)

set of 2 Dejana simple band above knuckle rings (silver colour) £3
set of 2 hammered stacking rings in gold colour £5

set of 2 wishbone and plain above knuckle rings (gold colour) £10

I went a little bit crazy on the above the knuckle rings, but they're not something you tend to come across on the highstreet, and I thought their prices were really quite reasonable! I'm also just a bit of a ring maniac/hoarder in general, so I don't tend to be able to stop myself! If anyone is interested in my ashamedly large ring collection then let me know and I'll see what I can do!

I'd definitely recommend having a look on the Dixi site, they're a really cool indie/hipster sort of brand, and definitely check out their facebook for some of their offers, it might well convince you to put in an order too!
What is your favourite thing that I got? Have you ever got anything from Dixi?

Warehouse Sale

Hello! Before I start, I just want to post a quick disclaimer, last time I went to Warehouse and got some things in the sale (post here) I handed in my CV and actually got a job! I just want to be honest and say that while yes, I DO work for warehouse, I'm only a sales assistant and I am NOT being paid or sponsored to do posts or anything like that (they don't even know I have a blog), these really are just things I see while I'm in work and buy at the end of my shift haha! But I just wanted to be honest about that because, well.. why wouldn't I be?

big cat print scarf £20 £12
 night sky scarf £20 £12

 pastel marble scarf £22 £15
flower ombre scarf £20 £12

mustard satchel £32 £25

black skinny belt £12 £7, crocodile print skinny belt £12 £7

To be honest Warehouse was never somewhere that I'd usually shop, I think partly because it's a little more expensive in there. But I really love some of the clothes in there at the moment, I'm having to restrain myself because I'm in danger of spending more than I make on the shift! haha!

I've had my eye on that mustard satchel for a while, it's such a lovely colour for autumn! And I love all these scarves!! The big cat one has a pattern on it that's made up of tiger, lion and leopard faces, I thought that was pretty cool! The scarves are all a bit of an odd length though, I tend to like to just drape mine over the back of my neck so it falls down at the front on either side, but these are a little bit long to do that with - they reach my knees for god's sake!! Maybe it's not the scarves, I'm just too short haha! And finally I absolutely love these belts, apart from the fact they've got everyone's favourite rose gold hardwear, the clasp is really unusual, the part with the belt holes is made of metal too, it's difficult to explain but the fastening is a bit different and it's quite interesting I think!

Have you done any good sale shopping recently? What do you think of what I got?

Mini Thrift Haul

Hello! I was in town with Matt a couple of days ago and was passing the little Oxfam Emporium there, so I just went in to have a mooch around and found a couple of great things!! And they were in my size!! (This almost never happens, as the majority of things in thrift/charity/vintage shops tend to be between the sizes 10 and 14).

TOPSHOP mint cotton cropped top £4.99

TOPSHOP burgundy wool blend shorts £5.99

Urban Outfitters tan crocodile style belt £5.99

Everything I got was virtually brand new, they had no stains or signs of wear at all, and the Urban Outfitters belt even had the tag still on it!! I prefer buying from charity shops to vintage shops, because I love that the money you spend will go towards a good cause and help people! Plus, charity shops tend to be quite a bit cheaper than vintage shops!!

What has been your best thrift/vintage find?
